  3. 1)  This font is freeware, public domain, so enjoy!
  4. 2)  This is a font for System 7 Finder use only.

  6. Based upon Geneva 9, FinderFont is a narrowed version of this popular font to help make the Finder labels narrower.  Typically each label will be 10 to 20% narrower (especially when using numbers or Caps) and yet still look remarkably like Geneva 9.  This font was specially designed to look clear and be easy to read in the Finder.

  8. To install:
  9. a)  Drag the FinderFont 9 file directly into the System Folder and answer affirmative to the question.

  11. b)  Open the Control Panel “Views” and select FinderFont from the pop-up menu and choose 9 point for the size.

  13. c)  Close and you are done.  The Finder will now display the narrower font allowing you to pack your files closer together or to use longer names easily.  Now you know why you upgraded to System 7!
